  Maybe I didn't explain myself very well.  I actually bought the cheapest 
decal, two of the $38.50 ones, and they are the varnish transfer type.
Your information is helpful; thanks again for taking the time to help me.

Claude,
In that case, I would still recommend clear-coating over it with Shellac
and then Varathane or Lacquer, which ever finish you are using on the
soundboard. That way, when it comes time for S.B. Cleaning it is less
likely to be damaged. <G>
