No one said it was your idea. It's nobody's, apparently. It'll just happen
without reasons or names given. No information, no recourse, just like the
surprise purchase of the system in the first place.

I've heard that one way too many times too. No one forced it on you. 
Remember, it's volunteer, as we are also reminded. What if I said yes? 
In your wildest dreams, do you imagine they would allow me in a position
where I could ask the questions I've been asking, and have direct access to
badger the people responsible for the answers, and pass the results on raw
to the folks out here in the dark? It would be a very interesting
4 hours, while it lasted. In other words, If I felt I was being used in a
position where I couldn't be effective, I'd pass.
