I'll try once more. Not here. We apparently have no choice other than to accept it or not participate. It's (to me) insane, and > irrelevant. As is the whole situation with the new :system". I traffic both the old and new lists by email, with Thunderbird. This is the "Legacy" system so thoughtfully provided by Higher Colonic. My replies contain a "Re:" in the subject line when they leave here, but are stripped by the postmasticator and turned into something else before being posted to the site. It's not something I'm doing. If they pretend to offer an email option, it's their problem to make the damned thing work, or it ought to be. As it is, I can't attach photos without logging on, so I mostly don't bother because the system offends me. I also can't see others photos without logging on, and have no indication in a list of downloaded emails, which of them has attachments, so I lose one valuable (to me) search criteria when I'm looking for something in my archives. > The absence of spell check...now there's a real disaster in waiting. My spell check works as well or badly as it ever did. If the on line editor doesn't have one, it's just another indication of the level of incompetence of the "providers". And we have no advocates. There is no one with the power to make it stick demanding of Higher Colonic that they either fix the problems or be gone. Why? Ron N
