BTW, for those of you who do these kinds of measurements or are interested in doing them Id be interested in collecting some data on old soundboards using the system in the table below. Id also be curious as to what you decided to do, restring or replace but you dont have to let me know that if you dont want. The procedure is pretty simple which is to stretch a string along the longest section possible between or adjacent to the ribs and measure the crown with a simple wedge gauge which you can make (see attached pictures). Measure the downbearing on three or four strings per section (mark the ones you are measuring), and then when you take down the tension measure the same strings again. Try to match the downbearing measurements to a the same place that you measure the crown. (Just an asideId have posted this on the new website as well but the hoops to jump through for posting the chart below and the pictures are just too time consuming, FWIW).
