Charlie was 93. Charlie was president of both the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) and the International Association of Piano Builders and Technicians (IAPBT). Making connections among technicians around the world was extremely important to Charlie, and he was one of the driving forces for the creation of IAPBT.
