Sorry hear about Charlie's passing. He had a great influence on me in my early years in the PTG. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Wim

Subject: [pianotech] In Memory of Charlie Huether

I talked with Charlie Huether's daughter who told me that Charlie died quietly with all his family at his bedside on Saturday June 11, 2011. Charlie was 93. Charlie was president of both the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) and the International Association of Piano Builders and Technicians (IAPBT). Making connections among technicians around the world was extremely important to Charlie, and he was one of the driving forces for the creation of IAPBT.

Charlie's funeral will be at Allwood Funeral Home in Clifton, NJ
