Hey Joe, Pear wood is sometimes used in piano keys as I read a substitute for ebony. I've also seen it advertised as a tuning lever handle material. I also wanted to mention that I'd like to be that fourth tuner that I mentioned. I'd love to become an RPT eventually. I was thinking that becoming an RPT is really a certification. Electricians, plumbers carpenters have their own certifications. I think it's a good thing to become an RPT. I'm going to strive toward that mark and once I've met it, keep moving forward.
