Agreed, David. I think we can all accept that there are some aural tunings that are better than ETD tunings and there are ETD tunings that are better than aural tunings. Just are, and it's not about the machine or the ear, it's about the technician. I think everyone has to be willing to accept that there are limitations to whichever road they choose. And, I think that by having made our particular choices we tacitly agree that we have accepted the limitations of our approach - they fit in our scheme of trade-offs just swimmingly. But it is always that - trade-offs, and being satisfied that our chosen trade-offs work for us. But also, though there is that level of comfort, it's those who choose not to be complacent who excel. It's those who remain open minded to differences of approach, those who recognize that everyone we meet in our personal and professional lives has something to teach us, that truly excel, live.
