It seems there were some fine overdamper uprights made at that time. I used to tune two huge Bluthner overdamper uprights of that era, magnificent things. One was in the function hall of a church that closed and I don't know what happened to it. The other was acquired from the local psychiatric hospital who were getting rid of it, by one of my customers, with whom I lost touch. I hope both of those pianos are still going strong somewhere.
