Rick, If you aren't using your camera's Macro setting, read your manual and try it out. Your shoe is in better focus than the pedal bracket. A couple other angle shots, and mention of the brand and model will make it easier for us to help. Sometimes the brackets are made of pressed metal that aren't exactly repair friendly. That does look like brass though, so Laura's advice (or driving the pin out with a punch) is probable the way to go.
