Hi Rob, I wouldn't even consider removing the parts. I treat them right on the action. I saturate the flanges thoroughly, a couple of times. I may or may not lubricate the parts after it completely dries, it just depends on the overall feel of the action. However I usually lubricate the damper spoons, regardless.
