Hi William, I thought the same thing earlier about the felt being worn away. I've seen this at the school. Sometmes also the metal that the spoon is made of, will erode the felt. Removing it would be pretty tough with a spinet action wouuldn't it. This is a Gulbransen spinet action. The keys are not connected to the wippens, but wippens are connceted to stickers that screw into a rail. Well thanks again everyone. When I tune it again I'll check that damper. I'm stil sure the felt wasn't rubbing its neighbor because it lifted uniform with the neighbors when I depressed the pedal.
