Marshall, You can also take off the action nuts and lean the action back just enough to get a damper wire bender down in there and even up the spoon with the other dampers. I did check damper timing with the pedal, and the pedal adjustment. damper won't lift when the key is depressed, but does fine with bass sustain is depressed.
