No, I have worked on a few of these.  Even with modern materials, I hope 
never to see another of this design.  Ingenuity - yes.  Simplicity - yes. 
Practicality - nah.  If this discussion suggests to anyone the bright idea 
of seeking investor to resurrect this design with modern materials, count me 
out!
