[pianotech] Polishing rusty strings

This is a follow up on the thread about wiping rusty strings. I DON'T use oil, but I do use GREASE! (Elbow grease) With one of those little polishing stones (Schaff #411). Unfortunately I don't know what grit I have because I bought them used.

Be sure to tell the customer that it will only help the LOOKS of the strings, and it can only be used on the easily accessible areas of the rusty strings. I charge my standard hourly rate.

Of course, if the grand piano had a STRING COVER, the customer wouldn't be so worried about how the strings look!
