[pianotech] Stripped hammer rail screw

Many on this list have used strips of leather glued into the hole. Strip
means the width of the screw shank. I've not done it, so I can't speak from
experience. I usually use a pipe cleaner w/glue to fix stripped holes, or
wood slivers. Always with glue.

Is there a published proper fix for a stripped screw in the hammer rail.
Client has a 1925 Steinway player (less the player).
