Although, sound could not travel through space, radio waves can. 528Hz would put it just below the AM band. Maybe that's what they're talking about? Sound - acoustical vibration - does not travel through space, as there is no medium to compress and rarefy. You will have seen this in high school, probably, with the electric bell in the jar with the vacuum pump.
