Ever since I purchased a Ford Escape with 17" wheels, I never thought again about the perceived savings on a few miles per gallon over the benefit of performance for trailer hauling and cargo. Gimme a big ole American car over any fern veHickle. BTW, did you know that the carbon footprint to produce a Prius is larger than one to produce a Hummer?? What ever happened to Station Wagons?
