Yes. Deffo. All the same, it's tangentailly interesting and relevant. One of the very useful purposes of this list is to sort out "received wisdom" from what's actually right, in all things piano and piano-repair related. And tackling assertions in an only loosely related matter (albeit about sound vibrations, which is what keeps us in business after all) is quite interesting. David Boyce.
