After is it removed, you could try putting some VJ lube on the pins for easier removal next time.

Is there a safe way to remove a frozen front key without damaging anythin?. This usually happens on yamaha C grands. I would pry slowly and do a rocking motion until it lifts off but it is very tiring and dangerous.
