Jer,

Prepping for concert work sounds like a worthwhile endeavor.  He probably gets to listen to the concerts after he's done working, etc.  

The guy I heard of today primarily tunes about 10 beat up uprights in a music studio.  I think I'd prefer the concert work if I were touring...  :-)
