One day at a PTG meeting, a member reported going to an out-of-the-way town to tune. When he finished tuning the piano the customer remarked, "Of course, I shouldn't play it for 24 hours, right?" The tuner asked, "Where in the world did you get that idea?" The customer replied that the last tuner who was traveling through town told her. At the meeting we asked about the quality of the previous tuning. (In Calif. it's easy to tell, even after years). He said it was atrocious. We concluded that the hacker must have come into town, tuned a few pianos, and cashed the checks, and got out of town before anyone had a chance to listen to his work. ---Tom Gorley -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
