Any time you have to use vice grips to move anything that is supposed to move freely, you're taking a risk of breaking it. Try to figure out why is so hard to move, and figure out what to do to fix it. Perhaps some protek will make it do that. If not, call S&C and see if they have a solution.

uned a new s&c studio yesterday .The hinge is at an angle instead of  
ertical , and is very to move.
ill I harm it by using vice grips and brute force to move it?
