Speaking of cleaning soundboards, what is the simplest way to clean soundboards?
I cut off the business end of a swiffer holder and attached it to a soundboard steel, Schaff #934 with glue & tape. Add a Swiffer duster and go to town. Works great. You can follow with a damp cloth if it's really dirty.

I use the Oreck. Good for vacuuming out keybeds, pedal areas in verticals, etc. Good for blowing out actions, etc. When blowing, take out the bag for more power. Can be used to clean soundboards, but the customer wouldn't be too happy. Speaking of cleaning soundboards, what is the simplest way to clean soundboards? I used to use a "tiger's tail", which worked g-rr-ee-aa-tt..., but had to leave it behind when I left the university. It's not being made anymore. Also the felt covered squeegee devises (different sizes).
Thanks,
Gary

I've been using a battery operated Black & Decker leaf blower. It has good blowing force and isn't very load. Works great for me. and it's a lot easier to handle than a vacuum & hose.

The Metro Vac 'N’ Blo is good for vacuuming but you only have a short amount of 'blow' time before the case becomes super hot and it's blowing hot air. You need to remove the internal foam disk for blowing, but even so, it gets quite hot.

I think the metro is more powerful, but the Oreck does fine blowing and vacuuming.

I also use the Oreck portable, since you own and use both the Oreck and the Metro is there any difference in the performance of either, or are they equal?
Thank you,

I've been using the Oreck . I like the plastic housing( won't ding) is lighter and does the job. I still use my Metro in the shop , and car. Should be $165 online.
