I've had an Oreck for many years. Came with the wife's upright vac. I have to wear hearing protection when I use it. It sucks and blows good, but I wouldn't use in someone's home as it is too noisy. I use a Hoover PortaPower. I have 3 of them. Uses a cloth bag, so you don't need to buy those paper bags. Not as powerful as the Oreck, though. I've never tried picking up a bowling ball with the Hoover, but I don't doubt the Oreck will do that. It's more about air flow than suck power. $.02 Paul McCloud Sn Dgo ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul T Williams To: pianotech at ptg.org Sent: 11/07/2010 12:20:30 PM Subject: Re: [pianotech] metro vac n blo My old one just gave up the ghost! I've been looking at Oreck. I'll try this one. Can it really pick up a bowling ball? My son uses a 15lbs for his bowling team. I will certainly try it. thanks Paul From: John Formsma <formsma at gmail.com> To: pianotech at ptg.org Date: 11/07/2010 02:09 PM Subject: Re: [pianotech] metro vac n blo This is the one I have as well. -- JF On Sun, Nov 7, 2010 at 8:45 AM, Jon Page <jonpage at comcast.net> wrote: There seems to be a number of models available.
