[pianotech] Help urgent

Are you sure the key slip isn’t held in place by the cheek blocks? Remove the cheek blocks and the key slip will come out. Sometimes the cheek blocks screws are in the back of the cheek block and must be accessed by removing the fall board first. My recollection is that on some Yamaha’s the fall board is removed by folding it forward and there is a scissor clip holding it on from behind.

Just reading your mails. I came across the same problem a month back. I can confirm, there are no screws underneath the keybed, just the metal rail where normally the screws for the key slip are, no crews at all, nowhere. I left it with that, only 2 keys needed leveling.
If you come across the solution, I would be interested.

Thank you very much to all of you who answered so promptly! I've tried everything even hiting it with a hammer and nothing... It just doesn't move at all... I guess i'll have to level The keys without taking it out as sugested!

Thanks again,

Since you haven't received any responses so far that seem definitive, you might do well to contact Yamaha. They should know.
