List, I received a sad call from a musician in Tennessee, who lost a treasured piano in the flooding there. He wants to know if anyone is interested in the plate, and if it has any residual value at all. I'll forward any replies to him. I have salvaged the plate from a Steinway Model M ( c. 1972) that was destroyed in a flood here in Nashville. We would like to find it a home. There was no flood insurance available in this area. 20 inches of rain in 36 hours put 4.5 feet of water in my mother-in-laws house. She was a piano graduate of Eastman. Her father bought her a Steinway in 1942 when she was 11. She sold that instrument (Signed by Joseph Hoffman) for a down payment on a house and when the house was paid off her husband took her to Steinway in Manhattan and bought her this Walnut Model M. She played every day until the flood on May 2. Cy Shuster, RPT Albuquerque, NM www.shusterpiano.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
