[pianotech] finishing plates

Al,

At what point do you replace agraffes rather than recondition them?  And do you use this method on new ones as well as used?

I don't always remove or replace them. When they are in good condition, I use Q-tips with Flitz polish on my drill. It does a good job of polishing and smoothing out the agraffes.
