Richard: in this situation, I would put the bars in place holding the sticker wire up againts the hammer rail, and tie the bars in place with cord or something similar. Then remove the keys, numbering them first if necessary, and setting them aside in order. Disconnect the damper rods.The action will then come out fairly easily. If necessary reinstall the keys for safe keeping. Replace the action in reverse order. Go slowly and methodically, accepting that its an onerous part of servicing a spinet, and rushing doe not help.
