I'm working on a S&S O. The X-ratcheting half rounds are working like a charm. As I was tuning the other day, the light hit the tenor duplex just right and I noticed that the lowest duplex was so high that the string loop had a marked negative down bearing. I removed several loops and ground down the high duplex and replaced the wire with a bushing cloth bearing. Now that loop is on the same plane as its neighbors. This piano once belonged to Karol Rathaus http://www.classical-composers.org/comp/rathaus It is a rather nice piano even with the modifications. -- Regards, Jon Page -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
