In case it didn't come through from my attempt-to-be-humorous response to Nick's post in your defense, I too apologize for overstepping.

Thank you for the lecture! Your Young Chang example is specific.Once again, I am only asking a generalized question. I do apologize forviolating the forum “give and get proposition”. I appreciate your response. JamesWilliams.

Hi James,

The brand may be irrelevant to the particular question you posedto the list, as you stated, but I have to chime in in support of Marcel'squestion. This forum is a give and get proposition. You've beengiven good, prompt responses to your question about tuning pin torque, andthose who have (hopefully) been of assistance to you want to learn somethingspecific from what you are going through. It's not like you would bebetraying the confidence of the manufacturer, if that is what's holding youback from stating whose pianos you are struggling with. In today's era of(mostly) mass-produced pianos, you can rest assured that you are not the onlyone having this problem. It would just be more useful--and show youto be a full-fledged participant in the valuable exchange that takes place onthis list--for the rest of us to know whose pianos we are talking about. Could you imagine all of the discussion taking place about, say, YoungChang's expanding action bracket problem withOUT knowing the manufacturer andvintage of the pianos under discussion? Wouldn't that be of ratherlimited usefulness to all of the other list subscribers, to say the least?

The brand is irrelevant to the question. The question is ageneral question about pin torque, not specific to one particular brand. Thanks for your inquiry. James.

James, why do you avoid answering the question that have beenasked at least 3 times: What is the piano brand?

Is there a reason?
