The brand may be irrelevant to the particular question you posed to the list, as you stated, but I have to chime in in support of Marcel's question.  This forum is a give and get proposition.  You've been given good, prompt responses to your question about tuning pin torque, and those who have (hopefully) been of assistance to you want to learn something specific from what you are going through.  It's not like you would be betraying the confidence of the manufacturer, if that is what's holding you back from stating whose pianos you are struggling with.  In today's era of (mostly) mass-produced pianos, you can rest assured that you are not the only one having this problem.  It  would just be more useful--and show you to be a full-fledged participant in the valuable exchange that takes place on this list--for the rest of us to know whose pianos we are talking about.  Could you imagine all of the discussion taking place about, say, Young Chang's expanding action bracket problem withOUT knowing the manufacturer and vintage of the pianos under discussion?  Wouldn't that be of rather limited usefulness to all of the other list subscribers, to say the least?
