Instead of replacing the springs, wouldn't be easier to reduce the tension on them by bending them backwards, similar to the way you reduce the tension on a rep spring?

Can someone tell me the proper hammer return spring size diameter for a Kimball console.  I have an instrument in my store that has had the springs replaced but they are way too strong and will need to be down sized.
