[pianotech] Monetary evaluation

Hi - Lots of wire noise -- in bass especially -- just not a clean sound. Hard even to determine the pitch of the very lowest notes. False beats all over. Don't think these beats are coming from loose bridge pins or anything, either.

I am not wanting to buy this piano. The customer wants to sell it if they can get a decent amount of $. They gave me no clue what they are hoping for.

It's been helpful reading these posts. The range of suggested values has indeed been wide. And the reasoning behind the suggestions echoes my own thinking.

I always work for the buyer. In cases such as this, though, I recommend that they start advertising very high - who knows what could happen. I also warn them that if anyone calls me about the piano that I will advise the buyer conservatively.

Thanks again --- and I especially liked the silly "baby" joke.

Denise
