[pianotech] pin Driving Fluid - was hybrid pinblocks

Ed,
My sample blocks are only 5/8" thick so the pins are much longer than the block sample is thick. I suppose the measure could be explained as how much pin is driven past a fixed point, or how many pin threads are driven through 5/8" of bock - not certain how else to explain.

In each sample the pins that had been driven more were noticably looser than the pins that had been driven less.

Maybe I am misunderstanding this, but I gotta ask, how are you driving the pins? I haven't had the experience that a lower torque results from greater depth in the block. In fact, mine is just the opposite.
