Hi David - Sure I can.  I bought a small vacuum pump - I can't find  
where I bought it from - but there are oodles available and they are  
cheap - less than $200 - and you only need a very small one.

I have custom sized bags made by these folks - I also use their  
Unibond 800 adhesive for laminating (two-part urea formaldehyde):  http://www.vacupress.com/products.htm

Here's a picture of a large bag and the pump - that's all there is to  
it - very simple, and you can roll the bag up for storage (I'm gluing  
up a laminated soundboard panel in this photo):



The bag below is smaller and I use it for pinblocks and rib slabs -  
pictured are two rib slabs being glued up:



And then, of course, there is the REALLY high-tech method involving  
clamps - but it's too complex to describe here - besides, it's  
proprietary..... :
