[pianotech] Damper Spring Cord

That is truly in keeping with the attitude of "Throw-a-way society"!! It's a whole lot easier to just replace the spring cord, IMHO. Of course, you need to figure out what size the hole must be to enable the "cord" to be drawn through. (much the same as flange bushings.)Make up a small kit to do this job, in your leisure. Include a razor blade, the cord, a drill bit, a few new dampers and a few different damper springs. All of that can fit in an Altoids can. Label it with a large label and you're good to go.  BTW, Shishkabob sticks are closer to the size needed, rather than a tooth pick. However, in some applications it will cause a squeak! DAMHIK.<G>
