I recently came across a grand piano in a fairly large schoolhall which had been tuned two weeks prior to me inspecting the piano onrequest. The octaves were stretched 1 bps and the double octaves werebeating almost 7bps. Ok, I give up, maybe it is late, maybe the wine, but I wonder: How can you get a 7 bps double octave from two octaves that are only beating 1 bps each?
