[pianotech] Too much reverb

This sounds like the bass dampers are not doing their job adequately.  Assuming the existing dampers are already reasonably well regulated, a new set of dampers could be considered.  Bill Spurlock has an article about constructing damper heads that are more efficient than the original and Jurgen Goering of pianofortesupply.com supplies them pre-assembled -- triple bass dampers.
