Thanks Joe,
I leaned the top lid against the wall and yes it  is a challenge to reach the tuning pins at the back. It is a happy piano though.:)

Lim,
the picture pretty much says it all. The serial number makes the piano made in mid year 1936. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say emphatically...It is NOT a sqaure grand!!<G> It has a modern style double escapement action...just short strings...hence, the "spinet" tag. Another clue, for me, is that it does not have four levels of strings...or event three that I can tell.<G>
