I occasionally find a piano with a curling decal, some actually buzzing
against the strings. If they are brittle, I will tear off the offending
pieces. If they are still pliable, I carefully insert a piece of piano wire
between the strings, being carefully that the sides of the wire do not touch
anything, and drip a few drops of CA glue onto the soundboard, then push the
decal edge down with a screwdriver until it stays in place. Has worked well
so far.
