This is a piano that had 10 hammer shanks with knuckles a different distance than the other 78. I looked at the archives as others suggested and found the information I needed about relocating knuckles. However, I've decided to buy 10 new shanks with a knuckle distance to match the other 78. For my purpose, it's easier to re-hang 10 hammers than it would be to relocate 10 knuckles. If so, it might make more sense to purchase a replacement shank with a different knuckle position. Why are you choosing to move the knuckles, and how are you determining where they should be when replaced? I know how to get the existing knuckles out, but I don't know how to re-locate the slot the knuckle goes into. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
