Tom, I had a beautiful rosewood handle from Schaff, given to me by a former boss, who I really liked, so when the Schaff shaft threads broke, I purchased a new shaft and heads from Jahn. They fit into the hammer handle perfectly--better in fact than the original Schaff one did. Just realized that didn't answer your question--sorry--but maybe it's still useful. Diane Tom Driscoll List, I need some advice on compatibility for the Schaff standard tuning lever threads. Are the Jahn, Watanabe heads compatible ? Any advice any other suppliers?
