So what does the cord anchor to? I assume the spring anchor to the jack
somewhere, and the cord somehow ties it to the hammer butt?

I'll take a better look as soon as possible, but perhaps Marc could best
answer for now. It seems to locate on the hammer flange but I'll need to
remove some parts for more detail.
