I see this all the time in Yamaha and others as well. Sounds like the pin is being backed out too far during string replacement ( three or more turns). The bushings travel upward as the pin comes up. Why it doesn't go back down is an enigma. Perhaps the bushings weren't very tight to start with. I haven't had much success in tapping them back sown either. The best I can come up with is to only turn the pin one revolution and use a "dummy pin" to make the coil before reinstalling. Regards, Paul E.
