Don't bring it in your carry-on.  That would be asking for trouble.  You can carry just about any kind of tool in your checked luggage.  I've carried my tuning kit that way several times.  I can even bring my unloaded hand guns with me by declaring them at check in and letting them put them in the luggage compartment.

        Hi all,

        I will be traveling next week and was considering bringing my tuning hammer along.  What has your experience been with bringing a tuning hammer either in your carry on on the plane or in your luggage.

        Just didn't want to get it confiscated as a weapon of some sort.
