Like dealing with the IRS, only the gate guard doesn't shake
you down.

Most bad guys apparently only come out at night here, because
the gates are usually open during the day, with no guard on
duty. Or there is a nearly indecipherable electronic directory
and keypad system at the gate (that often isn't working), and
you have to call the house anyway.

There's also the presumption that, because of their money and
position, you've doubled your rates for that particular
service call, and they'll try to get a discount for tuning
their 1907 Harwood. This, after sending you around back to the
"service entrance".

Fortunately, most aren't like that.
