Not only that but he also recommended the use of a Thera Cane. This has been
the finest tool for self massage and makes implementing all his research
about trigger points much easier and more successful. Good Stuff!!!!!

Hi Julia,
Youve gotten a lot of good suggestions Ill just add one more. The late
Claire Davies of the Lexington chapter wrote a book on trigger point massage
that helped me with a serious bout of golfers elbow (on the outside of the
joint, where tennis elbow is on the inside) which resulted from
over-practice on the guitar. Along with icing and exercise of the forearm
muscles, massaging the trigger points, which are basically knots in the
muscle where blood flow gets cut off, has allowed me to get back to
recording and performing with a fairly rigorous practice regimen. I highly
recommend it.

Subject: [pianotech] Tuning arm problems
Greetings,
Since I injured my arm in August, I have started to use my other arm
on some tuning but not all.
I've been getting massage therapy and it seems to help, but sometimes
it just comes back even after 3 days of non-use. Anyone have suggestions for
"tennis elbow" releif.
Thanks
