Thanks. I don't mean to come off in the wrong way either. Writing can be a difficult way to communicate sometimes. Nobody can see expression or smiling. Sorry if what I said was taken the wrong way as well. :-) Jer -----Original Message----- From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of david at piano.plus.com Sent: Tuesday, March 31, 2009 9:41 AM To: pianotech at ptg.org Subject: Re: [pianotech] Ethics and efficacy of part-time tuning Wow, sorry, I didn't mean to sound snotty! The exclamation mark after "guidlines" was meant to make it sound friendly, upbeat, surprised. I didn't write carefully enough, it seems! Sorry. I have stated no governmental guidelines! The government does not regulate piano tuning in the UK. The rules I pasted are those of the Pianoforte Tuners Association, the British equivalent of the PTG. The view is taken that if you do not do it fulltime, you are not able to do it adequately.
