If the cap is generally tight but only cracked you might try plugging with pin block plugs. It would be a two step process, spacing the first round of plugs and then drilling between them; stitching I think is the term. Level the surface, mark and drill for the pins then bevel the notches. Near the strut, you will have to use epoxy and set in the pins while wet because of their angle and proximity to the strut. -- Regards, Jon Page
