Richard Some do, some don't.?I had a few pianos on the mainland where the?leads expanded.? But since?I got to Hawaii, I've had at least 30 pianos with leads that expanded. But?what is interesting is that?not all the leads expand. On some, only two or three leads expanded. On most, about half of them had expanded. On several all of them showed some sign of expansion. We've had chapter discussions about this. There doesn't seem to be any one brands that has this problems, although Kimballs and Sohmers seem to have this problem more than others. But I've seen this on Yamahas, Steinways. We?think it might have something to do with the makeup of the?leads. ?
